  • Superior mechanical properties, such as strength and toughness.
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion and marine atmosphere.
  • Parts can be produced with highly complex geometric shapes.

  Composite materials feature an additional significant advantage in their fracture-toughness. Most of the other structural materials that have high strength and toughness, fail due to defects or cracks in the formation. This problem is greatly reduced in composite materials, since if there is a defect in one fiber, it remains in the interior of that fiber and does not transfer to the next fiber. Similarly, in some cases the fibers stop defects existing in the matrix. ATC will produce the following items from composite materials : doors, fins, ailerons, floor beams, belly cowlings and others.
